Cristina L., MA, LPC-S,
Cristina L. was born and raised in South Texas and holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. She has dedicated over 21 years to the field of mental health, serving in a variety of leadership and clinical roles across Texas. Her professional experience includes working as the Director of an Outpatient Psychiatric Hospital in West Texas, overseeing private practice settings in South Texas, serving as a Clinical Manager in the Dallas area, and providing specialized therapy within the prison and parole systems in West Texas and Corpus Christi. She has also offered mental health support in the legal sector, serving as a therapist for law firms in South Texas.
Cristina’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including substance abuse, family conflict, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, uncoupling/divorce, career and health-related stress, major life transitions, and grief and loss. She views her life’s work as helping clients build healthy, practical skills to navigate challenges, while fostering personal growth, healing, and the ability to live a more meaningful life.
In her practice, Cristina integrates evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), enriched with mindfulness and experiential techniques. She has extensive experience counseling individuals, families, and groups, and works with adolescents, adults, and seniors. With compassion and professionalism, Cristina brings a depth of clinical knowledge and a commitment to helping each client achieve greater resilience, clarity, and well-being.
